Captured Live On Stage!......well what can you say about this cd...its alot of money to start with...lol. but you can get it cheaper if you just keep looking..the final performance of diana ross and the supremes is a must 2 cd set for all fans of the girls' you will find the girls showing you why they become the one and only all time best girl group ever. no questions. it is also a big platform for diana ross to show her talent to its best.the song that really shows diana at her best is DIDN'T WE it is sung with great feeling and heart, its a stand out track, the best. mary wilson is as soulfull as you can get with her song. the whole recording in places is very low but at the time i suppose it was as good as they could get...the 70s...so we have to just get over that one, it is a live show..you can also hear the girls are having a great time on stage and a few laughs along the way, just listen to the song FALLING IN LOVE WITH LOVE the supremes are just perfect and spot on..great track. along with this cd when the album was first released was a 1 hour tape with hi-lites of the whole show, this was very hard to get but i was lucky to get a copy, and boy was it worth the effort. so if you are thinking about this cd' do get it, it is the end of the supremes as a great out of this world girl group, but the start of diana becoming a true star and the start of the new supremes great run of hit tracks. Even though diana was the only singer on SOMEDAY WE'LL BE TOGETHER one day we all hope it may come true with cindy, mary, diana, and in dreams flo. .........enjoy this masterpice of the final performance of the SUPREMES...stars for ever...

Artist: The Who

Nearly a quarter-century (and bassist John Entwistle) passed between what had been considered the Who's career-capping album, It's Hard and this 21-song epic, which at its best has the band of two pining for the days of Who's Next. Built from the triumph of the mini-opera Wire & Glass EP (included here in its entirety), Endless Wire mixes metaphors of music, war, and religion, while showcasing Roger Daltrey's ageless vocal cords and Pete Townshend at his windmilling best. Launching with a "Baba O'Riley"-like synth break in "Fragments," Daltrey asks "Are we breathing out or breathing in?" and Townshend answers with a thrashing, crashing Gibson. When the volume is turned up, there are echoes of three decades ago. "It's Not Enough" and "Mike Post Theme" conjure images of Entwistle and Keith Moon--the latter song, with its quiet verse and thunderous chorus, recalls "Going Mobile" and longs for Moon to whack it into shape. But the linchpin remains Townshend's songwriting, whether he's questioning faith ("Man in a Purple Dress"), showing gratitude for support ("You Stand By Me"), or dreaming of entertaining immortals into eternity ("Out on an Endless Wire"). Average rating of 5/5 Pure genius from the Gods of rock, 2010-07-16
If you've never really been a follower of The Who, you could be forgiven for thinking this is just an opportunity for a pair of aging rockers to make a few more quid, when really they should be tucked up at home listening to The Archers with a mug of hot chocolate. How very wrong you would be!

I'd read many mixed reviews of this CD, some along the lines of the above, others really singing its praises. So, to avoid disappointment, I had settled for somewhere in between - average. I was so pleased to be proved wrong!

I have to say that this album was a pure pleasure from start to finish - from the Baba O'Riley-esque opening of Fragments, I knew it would be something very special and I really couldn't fault any of the tracks that followed. Mike Post Theme has to be added to the list of The Who's greatest songs, and I defy any fan not to fight back the tears when listening to Tea and Theatre!

I had expected to have to listen to the album several times before it grew on me, but everything just worked together so perfectly, it grabbed me right from the off.

It's maybe unfair to draw comparisons to the likes of Quadrophenia and Who's Next, as these classic albums were produced at the bands creative peak, but considering 24 years have passed since their last studio album, it really is something quite remarkable.

Strongly recommended.

Although Judie was at her commercial peak in the early 80`s this double live album should not be ignored. I first heard the album Sportscar and was hooked I was expanding my musical horizons at the time. this album didnt really hit me until one evening arriving home from work, I got into the house and just for a few minutes couldnt suss what my wife was playing on the record deck, eyeing the sleeve against the side the revalation hit me. this is a really good rock band! Judie can when she wants to rock her heart out , its a shame this album is overlooked and underated because all the Tzuke emotions have been captured on this live without a net! A 5 star album

Average rating of 4/5 OH YES THEY'RE GOOD, 2000-12-10
This album sees the rolling stones at their best. Although the album lacks some special songs it is pure rock 'n' roll. Maybe the new rolling stones fan should buy love u live but for the true long rolling stones fan may find this album a great asset to their collection. The raw rock 'n' roll found on this album which sometimes lacks from watered down albums is a wonder to behold.
