 Slum dog soundtrack, 2009-08-05
Great atmospheric music from the film. I was sent the Indian version so the lyrics are not in English but that doesn't matter. It is better and more authentic like this, not what got in the charts in England. I play it in the car really loud.
Great, but not all, 2009-07-09
Three or four of the tracks are really really great! Have some best bits of Eastern modern music. The rest is ok, avarege, nothing special for me, but I've bought the album for those 4 and I don't regret it.

Until now Craig Armstrong has possibly been my favourite soundtrack composer but this album is seriously brilliant. It brings the India I know from my travels to life and is not only full of life and fun, but has some stunningly beautiful tracks like 'Latika's theme' and 'Dreams on Fire'. Was also great to hear the 'proper' version of Jai Ho again. This album provides an eclectic mix of tracks that contrast greatly with truly tradional indian style to M.I.A's paper planes - a must for anyone who loved the film.
Tip: listen to it at least twice before you fully pass your judgement as it grows on you greatly, especially if its not the kind of music you are used to!
Review of Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack, 2009-06-28
This is a brilliant film. The music is very good indeed, yet you almost don't notice it when watching as the film is so absorbing. It was only on watching the film again in the cinema that I realised how good the music is. The music is exciting and addictive and listening to it recreates the scenes and story of the film. I have played this cd several times and don't think I'll ever get tired of it.
Slumdog. just like India, 2009-12-13
Having visited India (Delhi) in Feb08, we were keen to see if the film reflected our experience of working with a charity in the slums of Delhi. It did, an awesome film , well worth watching if you want to see what it is like living in the slums.
